SHE DISAPPEARED INTO THE NEW DAY
Stirring way before the birds
To an uncanny silence
Stumbling from a slumber
That left me feeling uneasy
Not used to the morning darkness
I went to the back door
to see just how alone I was
The sun had not even made his way
To herald in my new day
But in the Midst of a lonely new moon morning
I saw my sparkling Angel
who had been bidding me goodnight
only weeks before
Once again smiling down at me
She winked at me, and reminded me
To seize my opportunities as they arise
And just like the star that shines bright at night
we can disappear into the light
To be absorbed by the glory of the new day
Much like the lover who pulls you close in their arms
and holds you tight
