SAINT MARY of ROSE BAY
It was an exile...
The likes of which had never before been seen
Her only crime it seems
was to love and understand
too
much.
Genuflecting before her lover husband
her forehead, anointed with water
infused with the sounds of his heart and soul
HIS words, HIS Promise to her
She anoints his cold body with her sacred blend
of Rosemary, Rose Otto,
Frankincense and Myrrh
Frankincense and Myrrh
A divine mist
Spraying it reverently over his un clothed body
in order to assist him on his etheric passage
from this earthly existence
from this earthly existence
She knew it would be the last time she'd ever
see his beautiful face
She stares out the stained glass window
her face now stained with tears
which fall onto his feet
which fall onto his feet
S(He) had suffered the ultimate betrayal
Fleeing under the cover of a crescent moon
from atop the cliffs of Rose Bay
from atop the cliffs of Rose Bay
her feet lay down the original Rose line
It is hidden in plain sight
She looks behind one last time
at the only home and love she ever knew
as she sails away, across the Sea to lands unknown
Carrying the seeds of life and knowledge now growing inside her
Salty sea mist sprays onto her face
blending with the dried holy water on her forehead
washing away the last remnants of tears
and his last kiss placed upon her lips

Well, this was certainly permanent... Sad piece, really. I have known of people who grieved themselves to death, after the loss of a spouse.
