CONCECRATION

CONCECRATION

Our union is like entering a temple
We pray at each other feet

It feels like we know each other’s thoughts so intimately
we somehow commune in a revered telepathic silence
and I always hear you answer me
its just the way it has always been between you and me

There is a kinship and devotion
that makes speaking about the obvious
Seem almost superfluous
Often basking purely in a shared awareness to fill in our time
Your every thought reflected in me
I often feel your presence in my dreams
Leaving calligraphic inscriptions in my memory

And yet

If I were to actually see you
How do I know that I will not run from you
Scared by the intensity
Not knowing what to actually do

Ive made love with you a thousand times in my mind
But there is no guarantee that I can actually play out my phantasy
In real time

  1. I get this... as in, every word... I have never seen anyone write about this. That you even thought about this, amazes me. That you wrote it out like you did, enlightens me... Please overlook my rambling, and let me just say, I love this poem... Myke

  2. MIKE...I am so thrilled to know that you got this.
I can't even begin to tell you how I struggled for SO LONG to even get this down on "paper"

And seriously, you must have read thousands of poems in your time, and written a couple of thousand yourself,
and you never seen anyone write about this? WOW,
Believe me, it was hard to capture this very unusual predicament of thought and feeling
and to actually get it right. I still don't think I did...
So rather than beat myself up like I have been over this,
I will graciously, and gratefully say
THANK YOU mike for giving me the love on this one, which is so very close to me.
