TANZANITE SKIES

TANZANITE SKIES

Distant sounds of a kalimba carry on the whispering wind
breaking a stifling stagnancy of oppressive heat
Tributaries in the distance, pulsating and rushing forth
away from their mother, the source
of life
Carrying the sweat of a thousand warriors labours
the lion tamer
nomad who roams free
knowing every facet of these harsh, unforgiving lands.
carrying the inherited tutelage of elders,
the visionaries and keepers
Those illuminated minds with pleochroistic vision
who speak of dying wisdoms
with all the compassion and eloquence
of a unified heart and mind

Blood and milk
food of Arusha
Fractured cultures , a people polarized
trying to keep ancient consciousness alive
their connection to the land, entrenched in their psyche
Kilima-Njaro in the distance watching over their land
Protector of secrets,
the missing link to reaching higher realms
amongst trichoric deep blue violet and aquamarine skies

There they are bathed, and linger, in an incandescent auric field
of the most extraordinary and pure awareness
that one day life is favorable,
the next, it can be whisked away
to the spirit world, where only a few can commune and stay
in tune
with the complexities of unseen levels of the vast universal order
under the guidance of Namunyak

beneath the Tanzanite skies

TWO BODIES COLLIDE

TWO BODIES COLLIDE

http://www.adn.com/article/mythbusting-place-where-two-oceans-meet-gulf-alaska

Two Bodies collide
as merging liquescence
comes up up against
much resistance
an undercurrent of predestination guides
to unleash pulsating eddies and tides
trapped perturbations
are slowly melted by the warmth of your care

The ensuing glacial thaw releasing frigid
remnants of long trapped heavy debris
to create magnetic oceans
from which we can no longer deny or flee

But strong conflicting emotions
are repelled by the strength of resistance
too scared to allow the deeper remnants to flow
and be released

we fight to embody the inevitability
that our deepest consternation's
will eventually merge
that place where mixed tribulations
are free to effuse effortlessly into one body

Whether we like it or not
We both need those bursts of antagonism
to help push through those seemingly impenetrable barriers
to break down those walls and borders
we created to keep our selves safe from the onslaughts
and rigors of so many conflicting forces

which can eventually erode our hopes and dreams
and any attempt of reaching further
are buttressed by hostile tensions
that make un~perceivable
any smooth transition into unity

But when the turbulence is so strong
We don’t know if we can even overcome
the stirred up antipathy

...still, we allow ourselves to go
as deep as we can without drowning
this is a test of true patience, trust
and surrender to inevitability

Together we create the substrate for all life
Unequivocally released to create
 a confluence of deep affinity
An undeniable, underlying compatibility

Im so deep into you

COLD ROOM

COLD ROOM

You left me alone
In a cold room
You opened the door
and invited me in
I thought Id found a place to finally release my mind
but instead
what happened
was, you suddenly left me behind
Apparently I’d gone down the same track before
you didn’t want to listen any more
on the way out you turned out the light
and closed the door
and so I was left to watch my own thoughts and memories
play out before me on a continuous loop.
projected on the wall

Im so cold

(c) Teresa/Divinia 9th July 2014

This is a poem that deals with the required sensitivity it takes for anybody who is dealing with a friend or loved one who is going through
challenging life circumstances.  Whether they come to you, or if you offer to listen, and they accept the invitation and share sacred space with you, because they trust you... It takes a considerable amount of understanding, and not to mention time to help a person sift through the many complex, and often conflicting layers of emotions that may surface during any session you offer to have with them.
While to offer your time is always met with appreciation and is always well meant, to leave an issue unresolved, or to simply disregard what a person is saying as "ive heard this all before" actually does more harm than good, and it very effectively closes the door on any further talks.
People with challenging thought processes often have trouble switching them off, and to tell a person they have too much time to think,
or that they over-think things is cold, and once again closes down any further avenues of that person being able to speak truthfully or to continue with any heartfelt honesty.
What a person so often needs more than advice is patience,  follow-up, and feedback, not a half baked statement, and then left to deal with their thoughts and freshly stirred up emotions alone.  This can often take DAYS, not minutes or hours.
So, be careful when asking about someone, and be prepared to hear things that may challenge you.  That does not mean we should TAKE ON another persons troubles, we just need to keep a much firmer grasp on their hands and help walk them through, if thats what they truly need.
The most regretful thing a person would ever have to deal with, is that a loved one, whether it be their child or a lover, choses to NOT talk, because they feel unable to share what is so deeply buried in their hearts.  It can get too much for them to do it alone for even one more day, and so therefore, they need to find a way... to make it all go away......
