WITHIN THE PAGES OF MY HEART

WITHIN THE PAGES OF MY HEART

I may not be able to afford

to build a grand temple

to show my love and affection for you

For me… it’s the little things

Like...the time we spend sharing conversations of the heart

and the quiet, contemplative thoughts I dream when alone

of where and how you fit into my world,

It’s the wanting for you

to infuse those hidden aspects of my soul

that no one else has been given access to

It’s my belief in you, and in the knowing

that you are written into my destiny

all whilst strolling under an endless moonlit Observatory

But most of all

it is my deepest desires and words written to you

In my book of poetry.
