HUSHED TEARS OF AN ANGEL

It was a moment

Of tender awareness

A feeling that penetrates her being
and rips through her heart

For she is seeing

Past his armor

Listening to his unspoken cries

His innermost desires

Hidden from her eyes.

Face to face, with no words between them
lost in eternities gaze

He sees the small tear well in her eye

She doesn’t hide it.

His face, now takes on the concern of a lover

Wanting to make her wrongs right.

“what is it my love, what makes you sad"?

She looks lovingly into his confused eyes,

Gently placing a finger to his lips

To hush his inquiry, she replies

“These tears are not for me by love,

They are for you”
