How would I feel
As I look into your eyes
Knowing
That it may be the last time.
What started as a casual connection
A comment here and there
Turned into a friendship of affection
Where I imparted my deepest secrets.
I knew you were struggling
But I pushed the feelings of knowing

Making sure that every second counted.
